Yum Yum Hibachi: Where Flavor Takes Center Stage

Imagine a place where the flavors dance, the ingredients come alive, and three friends turned restaurateurs are serving up something truly special. We’re talking about Yum Yum Hibachi, the newest fast-casual restaurant that’s been making waves since its grand opening earlier this year. It’s the focus of our business spotlight video this week.

The Vision

The concept for Yum Yum Hibachi started back in 2017 or 2018 when co-owner Kaveh Safa and a few friends started tossing around the idea of a fast-casual hibachi restaurant. When the pandemic hit, they recognized that this concept could work well for carry-out and delivery. They secured a lease and started the build-out for the restaurant. It took longer than expected to complete the construction, but this gave the team time to perfect their recipes and takeout process. Their soft opening took place on June 12, 2023, with the official grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony taking place on July 28th.

The Experience

The food quality at Yum Yum is equal to that of traditional hibachi restaurants, just without the show and shared tables. In terms of concept, think of Chipotle, but for hibachi. Customers choose from six different proteins that include meat, fish, and vegetarian options. Next up are the veggies, toppings, and sauce. Their three sauce options are all homemade and delicious! Bowls start at just $12! In addition to the mouth-watering hibachi bowls, Yum Yum offers other menu options including miso soup, spring rolls, dumplings, and more.
