15 West Homes June 29, 2021

After a quiet July 4 in 2020 due to COVID-19, firework shows are making a comeback in Loudoun County in 2021. There are numerous community firework shows planned for the Fourth of July weekend, and we’re here to let you know when and where you can enjoy the festivities.

If you want to participate in a parade, dress up your bike, wagon, stroller, and car and head on over to the South Riding Town Hall at 5:30 pm. The parade concludes at the South Riding Golf Course, so bring a blanket, pick out your spot, and enjoy some music and food from local vendors before the fireworks display.

The gates at Ida Lee Park will open at 6 pm for a concert, food court, and one of the largest fireworks displays in the entire region.

MIDDLEBURG

Sunday, July 4
Middleburg Community Center

Middleburg is excited to bring back its incredible July 4 event this year, including amusements, live music, food and drinks, and a great fireworks display. Local vendors, including One Family BBQ and Tip Top Tap Truck, will be at the Middleburg Community Center serving up food and drinks, and Up All Night and Junk Food will be providing the live music! The pool opens at 11 am, the live music starts at 3:30 pm, and the fireworks will start at approximately 9:15 pm.

PURCELLVILLE

Much like Leesburg, Purcellville’s Independence Day celebration kicks off with a parade from Blue Ridge Middle School to Emerick Elementary turning down East A Street, South Maple Avenue, East Main Street, and concluding on South Nursery Avenue.

In the evening, the celebration continues at 5 pm with games, a scavenger hunt, glitter tattoos, and more at Franklin Park before the large firework display and music by DJ Bifocals.

ASHBURN

Monday, July 5
Ashburn Lake

If you’re looking for a fireworks display with a view, Ashburn is hosting its annual display from Ashburn Lake on July 5. Onsite parking is very limited so it’s recommended to walk to the event and to arrive early so you can find a great spot!
