We are lucky enough to live in an area where we can be outside most days of the year. And there are so many things to do in Northern Virginia that we want to make sure you can try new things as well as your tried and true favorites. This week we are sharing our top 5 wineries to see the fall foliage!

Breaux Vineyards

Location: 36888 Breaux Vineyards Ln., Purcellville, VA 20132

Hours: Saturday and Sunday 11am – 6pm (winter hours)

Breaux Vineyards spans more than 400 acres with 104 of them under vine. They grow 17 different grape varieties and offer a wide range of wines. Enjoy a wide range of wines in their large tasting room or their gorgeous outdoor patio. Choose from traditional options like Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc or unique blends like Jennifer’s Jambalaya, an off-dry white or Meritage, a red blend.  Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the views are breathtaking. 

Stone Tower Winery

Location: 19925 Hogback Mountain Rd., Leesburg, VA 20175

Hours: Thursday through Monday 11am – 6pm

Stone Tower Winery offers two different tasting rooms and both feature stunning views of the vineyards and mountains. The Harvest Barn Tasting Room welcomes guests of all ages, as well as your dog. The Tower View Tasting Room is reserved for visitors 21 years of age or older and dogs are welcome outside. In addition to a great selection of reds, whites, rose, and sparkling wines, Stone Tower also serves a delectable array of wood-fired pizzas, salads, and shareables.

Bluemont Vineyards

Location: 18755 Foggy Bottom Rd., Bluemont, VA 20135

Hours: Open Daily from 11am – 7pm 

At almost 1000 feet above sea level, Bluemont Vineyards showcases spectacular views of the valley. On a clear day you can see all the way to Washington DC! The tasting room offers light fare throughout the week and brunch on Saturday and Sunday. They cater to both the adventurous and novice wine-lover with their signature series wines.

Greenhill Vineyards

Location: 23595 Winery Ln., Middleburg, VA 20117

Hours: Daily from noon until 6pm (winter hours)

Nestled in the heart of hunt country, Greenhill Vineyards produces high-quality, limited-production wines. Enjoy one of their unique and flavorful wines while snacking from their delectable mezze menu. From Chenin Blanc to Petit Manseng to Nebbiolo and many others, these expertly crafted wines pair perfectly with the gorgeous views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The Vineyards and Winery at Lost Creek 

Location: 43285 Spinks Ferry Rd., Leesburg, VA 20176

Hours: Thursday, Friday, and Monday 12pm – 5pm, Saturday 11am – 6pm, and Sunday 11am – 5pm

This charming spot in Leesburg offers more than just wine; it’s an experience. It’s a family owned business built on the passion the owners had for wine ever since they honeymooned in Bordeaux, France in 1998. Nestled in the rolling hills of the Virginia countryside, Lost Creek offers a casual elegant atmosphere and superb service. Their high-quality, distinct wines pair beautifully with their selection of mouthwatering culinary delights.
