Welcome to your weekly 5 Things Friday post where we cover the Loudoun county real estate market, fun things to do, and new things to try in the NoVA area!

The Loudoun County Market

Uptick in homes sold.

Good news for buyers last week as we saw an uptick in homes sold. Buyer demand is still high and it’s showing as buyers are not giving up and continuing to look at homes and making offers. For some, that effort is paying off.

Listings have increased.

Listings are up 92% from last week giving those persistent buyers more options. Hopefully this increase will continue and shift the market to a more neutral one. We’ll stay cautiously optimistic on this one.

New purchase contracts are up as well.

New purchase contracts were up almost 30% week over week, showing again that buyers are prepared to pretty much do whatever it takes to find a home. And, it seems to be working, the question is whether it will continue.

The region’s most acclaimed jazz musicians are returning to the ever-popular Jazz in The Parks on the Great Lawn this summer – this year, with a fourth, additional concert due to popular demand.

Bring your neighbors and friends for the city’s favorite laid-back summer evenings – listed by Washingtonian magazine as one of the area’s top five outdoor spots to listen to live music just last year! Bring your own picnic, blanket and refreshments, and enjoy popular local food vendors and giveaways.

The events start at 5 pm with a children’s performer (get ready to dance!), followed at 6 pm by the headliners listed below.

Admission is free but you need to reserve a spot

Like something out of a science fiction movie, there’s an amazing piece of technology found in only one location in Loudoun County. It’s called the AllCore 360, and it is changing lives.

The Integrated Healthcare Centers location in South Riding has one of only 127 AllCore 360 machines in the United States. The AllCore 360, a revolutionary core training machine that effortlessly strengthens your core in 10 minutes per session.

This one-of-a-kind machine challenges the core progressively over time. It trains your core (abdominals, lower back, middle back, chest, and neck muscles) while you simply sit and maintain your posture—and that’s it!
